I am a passionate mental health professional and have worked for over 20 years in the field of trauma and crisis.
Born and raised in the UK, I moved with my family to New Zealand in 2005 where I continued with my work in helping people in crisis by spending eight years with Victim Support on the suicide bereavement team. I have also held counselling roles at Home and Family Counselling, Heart for Youth Charitable Trust and the Hibiscus Coast Youth Centre.
In 2016, I co-founded the Youth in Transition Charitable Trust, a charity which is supporting over 700 young people and their families at risk of suicide. In 2020, I was delighted to be nominated by the Waitemata DHB and awarded the LifeKeepers National Suicide Prevention Award for outstanding contribution to suicide prevention and in 2023 was awarded a New Zealand Order of Merit for services to suicide prevention and mental health.
Who I Help
I work with people from a variety of cultures, background, and ages, from young adolescence through to retirement.
Thanks so much, Tina
