Bio photo 2024 Reena Menezes

I am a registered counsellor, working in the Counselling Service at Kāhui Tū Kaha, a Māori social services provider, characterised by diversity.

Namaskar. My name is Reena Menezes. Born and raised in Qatar, with Indian ethnicity, about thirty years ago I have chosen Aotearoa as my home. I have been working as a counsellor for several years and am experienced in working with youth, families, people on the spectrum, single parents, and couples. I work from an Ellerslie location on Wednesdays and the rest of the business week from a Henderson location. I offer face to face, online, or phone sessions depending on your preference. I am drawn to this area of work as I believe that we are all more capable than we tell ourselves, but we tend to lose sight of our strengths when times get tough. Working with me means exploring solutions that are within your reach. I see my role as helping you to reconnect with the strengths and capabilities that you have within yourself. I can help walk you through where you are to where you want to be in manageable steps. We will go at your pace and together we will find the tools and threads you need to weave your preferred story.
