Ko Putauaki me Motatau nga Maunga Ko Rangitaiki me Taikirau nga Awa Ko Ngati Awa me Ngati Hine nga Iwi Ko Pera Tipene toku ingoa. Greetings: I hail from the Eastern Bay of Plenty, a small place Te Teko, and the Bay of Islands, another small place called Motatau. My name is Pera Tipene.

I am a registered counsellor with NZAC and hold a Bachelor of Counselling specializing in Narrative therapy. I take a person-centred, strength-focused and holistic approach. I am a counsellor with over 10 years ’ experience working with grief and people bereaved by suicide. I have lots of experience working with diverse backgrounds, and specifically children, youth, and family/whānau groups.

I enjoy working alongside all cultures and consider it a privilege to journey with people through their life encounters. I offer a welcoming and supportive experience so you can tell your story, process your experiences in a safe environment, without any judgment, and ensure your story is respected and honoured.
