 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Kia ora, I am Gowri Asiriah, a NZAC registered counsellor based in Howick. I offer both online and face-to-face, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

I work with rangatahi, adults, and whānau in a client-centred and culturally respectful way. I speak English and Malay and bring experience working with people from diverse communities.

Growing up in Malaysia, a multicultural melting pot, deepened my appreciation for identity, diversity and belonging. Prior to counselling, I worked with refugees and migrants, which shaped my understanding of trauma, grief, loss, isolation, and displacement.

I believe healing looks different for everyone. Grief does not follow a set timeline. My role is to provide a calm, supportive space where you feel safe to explore what you're going through. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, gently making room for hope, meaning, and whatever comes next.
