Kia Ora, Nihao. My name is Carmen. I am originally from China and am now based in Auckland, New Zealand. I speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. I am a registered social worker with over five years’ work experience. My work covers areas such as gambling, gaming, family relationship, parenting, mental health, trauma as well as grief and loss. I work at Asian Family Services as a Counsellor from Monday to Friday 9-5. I have experience in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds especially Asian cultural groups. I believe everyone uniquely experience their grief and loss process when they lost their loved ones, and culture plays a significant role in this hard time. I hope to work along with people to process this challenging experience in a safe and culturally appropriate way and support them to embrace their life that allows it to flourish again.
