Talofa lava, Ni sa bula vinaka and kia ora,
My name is Avi and I am a registered mental health nurse with over 13 years’ experience supporting people from many different walks of life. I am based in Tāmaki Makaurau and offer support face-to-face, over the phone and online, working alongside individuals, tamariki, rangatahi, and family/whānau groups. I have a strong interest in supporting our Pasifika communities as they navigate their unique journeys of grief.

I am drawn to this mahi because I have experienced the loss of a family member to suicide myself. I believe deeply that every person deserves access to compassionate, culturally grounded support where their story can be shared safely, without judgement, and in a way that honours their identity and values.

Grief can feel overwhelming and isolating, and it may be hard to believe that life can hold meaning again — but with patience, time, and the right support, healing is possible. By walking alongside, you, offering respect, understanding, and space for you to process this at your own pace, I hope to help you find light again in your own time and in your own way. I look forward to meeting you. Malo
