Kia ora, my name is April, and I am a Registered Nurse specialising in mental health. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge, which I use to provide compassionate care to those navigating grief, guiding them toward rediscovering a life they can love again. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals bereaved by suicide and committed to challenging the stigma surrounding both suicide and mental health.

Over the years, I’ve remained dedicated to delivering high-quality care, advocating for the wellbeing of those I support, and embracing resilience in the face of the unique challenges this work brings. I understand the complex nature of suicide bereavement, often accompanied by feelings of guilt, shame, and isolation. Through empathetic communication and strong therapeutic relationships, I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where people feel supported and understood.

I believe in the power of providing a non-judgmental space for individuals to express their emotions and begin their healing journey. My goal is to empower those I work with to find peace and growth, even in the midst of profound loss.
