My name is Sabina and I am originally from Zimbabwe. I have lived in NZ for more than 15 years. I am a mother of two and a grandmother of 4. I hold an honors degree in counselling and a Bachelors in drug and alcohol counselling. I am a certified life coach and use my lived experience to make a difference in other people’s lives.
Upskilling myself with new therapies keeps me informed and grow in the field of counselling. I have more than 10 years’ experience in grief therapy and have counselled people from all walks of life and different age groups. My preference is adults, male or female. I work Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 4pm. I offer both face to face and online counselling. I am drawn to grief counselling because of my own journey of losing close people and close relationships. I have always felt it is time for me to give back and walk alongside the bereaved by suicide. I would like to extend a warm invitation to you and offer you a safe place to tell your story, process your experiences without the fear of being judged.
In working with the bereaved I mainly use client centred approaches, ACT therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy, the narrative therapy and Solution focused therapy.
