Ko Robyn Pomare tōku ingoa. Ko Ngāpuhi, Te Aupōuri, rāua ko Ngāti Kurī ōku iwi, ā, he kāinga noho ki Kirikiriroa.
I bring over 20 years’ experience in Addiction and Mental Health, specialising in culturally grounded services. I have supported whānau through complex challenges, always centering tikanga and holistic approaches that nurture the whole person.
My practice blends clinical expertise with Rongoā Māori — romiromi, mirimiri, kōmiri, and wairua healing — supporting the free flow of hinengaro, tinana, and wairua.
I am co-owner of Hokioi Therapy, named after the hokioi, a high-flying bird with vision. We guide whānau to see beyond challenges, heal, reconnect, and rediscover their strengths. Our work integrates kōrero ā-whānau, therapeutic counselling, and traditional healing, ensuring each person’s whole self is acknowledged.
I am deeply committed to whakamomori (suicide prevention and postvention), walking alongside whānau with aroha, kōrero, karakia, and practical guidance while honouring their mana and whakapapa.
