Bio pic Juliana Lawerance

Kia Ora, my name is Juliana and I am a Malaysian born Indian. I have been in New Zealand for 22 years and my work as a therapist started in a Kaupapa Maori organisation in Taranaki 15 years ago. I am grateful for the opportunity and the learnings I gained during my time with them. I have special interest working with Maori & Pacifica clients as I understand their cultural needs and can provide the appropriate support they need while going through the difficult times of bereavement by suicide.

I focus on client - centred approach and work according to client’s needs and readiness, providing a non-judgemental space to share. I am a good listener and have great compassion for your narrative, understanding your needs and your grief. Loss, grief, and bereavement visits us in difference ways and walking alongside you with your journey is my job.

I am trained in EMDR and clients have found it very useful in grief processing.

My purpose is to create a safe place for clients to explore life events, explore on their own strength, to build upon it and most of all to be self-compassionate in the process of grieving and healing.

This is your journey. Come along and I will walk with you.
