New Plymouth/ Young Adults/ Adults/ Older Adults/ Face to Face/ Online/ Telehealth

Mon-Fri, normal business hours and evenings if needed (Two small steps at entrance)

Kia ora, my name is David Sander, and I am based beneath Taranaki Maunga in Ngāmotu / New Plymouth. I see clients both face-to-face and online, working with you to find a time that suits us both, with appointments available during the day and in the evening. I am a counsellor with over 15 years of experience in suicide prevention and postvention, and I have supported people through grief, both one-on-one and in group settings.

I have lived in Asia, and since returning to Aotearoa/New Zealand I have studied Te Reo Māori. My counselling has included supporting Rainbow communities, young adults and older adults, where I am deeply committed to honouring their experiences of grief. I believe these experiences enable me to facilitate sessions that reflect the cultural needs of my clients.  I walk alongside clients as they take steps toward healing and re-engaging with life. Tihei Mauri Ora!
