Kia ora. My name is Leah. I am originally from South Africa and have lived in Wellington since 1999. I have offices in Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt and I also offer online counselling for those who live remotely or need to fit in their counselling around a busy home life. I am a counsellor with 10 years’ experience working with people bereaved by suicide. I have plenty of experience working with people across the lifespan, from adolescents through to the elderly. I am drawn to this work because of my personal life experiences and understanding of the complex nature of grief that a person experiences when a loved one takes their own life. Above all, I believe in the resilience of the human spirit.
