Kia ora,
Ko Catherine Smith tōku ingoa. I am based in Palmerston North and work across the wider Manawatū region. I have many years’ experience supporting people through grief and loss, including facilitating the Bereaved by Suicide group at ACROSS – Te Kotahitanga o te Wairua. My mahi spans diverse demographics, working alongside tamariki, rangatahi, adults, and whānau from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. I have also delivered self-esteem and wellbeing programmes, embedding inclusive and strength-based approaches in all my work.

I am available for face-to-face sessions Monday to Friday, with some weekend and evening appointments available depending on requirements. I can also provide home visits and online support nationwide.

I am deeply drawn to this mahi because I believe every person’s story matters. My goal is to create safe, non-judgmental spaces where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to navigate their grief and reconnect with hope.
